Why There Is No Contact Form

Deliberately. HVAC problems are diagnosed by description, and a two-minute conversation extracts more useful detail than any form field — what the system is doing, how old it is, whether it is cooling or heating, whether there is water involved. What to Have Ready

• Who is in the house. Infants, elderly residents or anyone with a heart or respiratory condition raises the priority of a no-cooling call in summer.

Before You Call, in Two Situations

If you smell gas, or a carbon monoxide alarm is sounding: leave the house and call 911 and your gas utility. That comes before any HVAC scheduling, in any weather. Do not stay inside to investigate.

If water is coming through a ceiling below an attic air handler or water heater: switch the system off at the thermostat, and shut off the water supply to the tank if that is what is leaking. Then call. The few seconds that takes will save considerably more damage.
